Robert C. Cone named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation
Robert C. Cone, a shareholder and director in the law firm of Tuggle Duggins P.A., has been named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation. Elected by their peers, the Fellows is a group of attorneys, judges, and legal scholars of demonstrated professional achievement who exemplify commitment to the highest principles of the legal profession and dedication to the welfare of their communities. Established in 1955, the Fellows support the research of the American Bar Foundation. Membership in the Fellows is limited to less than one percent of lawyers licensed to practice in each jurisdiction.
Mr. Cone practices law in the areas of business and commercial litigation, including banking, contract and construction cases, product liability, real estate disputes, professional negligence, business tort cases, and alternative dispute resolution procedures. He is a certified mediator in the North Carolina federal and state trial courts, and for the United States Postal Service.
Mr. Cone represents the 18th Judicial District as an elected member of the North Carolina State Bar Council, the governing body of the State Bar; and he is the president of the Guilford Inn of Court, an organization of trial lawyers that promotes continuing legal education, mentoring, and professionalism.
Mr. Cone is a past president of the Greensboro Bar Association, a past chairman of Cone Health Foundation, and a past chairman of the Greensboro Public Library. He is a member and past president of the Rotary Club of Greensboro.
